Ben Affleck Reportedly Developing Batman Versus Deathstroke Movie

Ben Affleck might have resigned from his role as the Dark Knight in Matt Reeve's upcoming DC Extended Universe entry, The Batman, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the filmmaker's given up on the franchise. New details about an upcoming Affleck Batman movie are coming to light with reports suggesting that the director's new entry is going to be another "versus" movie.

According to a report by Cosmic Book News, word on the street has it that Affleck is currently working on a Batman "versus" movie, this time pitting the Caped Crusader against Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke.

Seemingly adding to the report, a writer for the Washington Post also tweeted out a post suggesting that the Affleck Batman movie would have actually been called the "Dawn of Vigilantes."

Right now there aren't too many details regarding the project, however we're hoping to get more news from Warner Brothers as the film's development continues.

There's a lot of concern whether or not Affleck might continue playing the role of Batman for the DCEU as the franchise continues. While there are some who aren't entirely interested in Affleck's version of the Dark Knight, there are quite a number of DC fans who consider the DCEU's Batman as one of the best iterations of the character.

Sure, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice might not have been that well-received by fans and by critics, but many consider Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman as the saving grace of the film.

Let's see whether or not Affleck chooses to stay and star in his own Batman movie.
