Batman Beyond Voice Actor Talks About Potential New Episodes

Batman Beyond was a pretty well-received animated DC series that explored the darker side of many of the Dark Knight's different projects, exploring different themes like personal relations, fear of the unknown, innovation, and scientific progress and its effect on society. The critically acclaimed series celebrated its 20th anniversary at this year's New York Comic-Con and it's lead voice actor, Will Friedle (the voice of Terry McGinnis), decided to tease the possibility of Batman Beyond's return.

Friedle came together with two other Batman Beyond voice actors (Kevin Conroy who voiced Bruce Wayne and Lauren Tom who voiced Dana Tan, Terry's love interest) as well as series co-creator Alan Burnett and casting director Andrea Romano to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show at the 2019 New York Comic Con (via CBR).

During the event, Friedle was asked whether he'd be working on future Batman-related projects. Though the voice actor says he isn't really sure about the future yet, there still may be hope for a few more episodes of Batman Beyond.

"Not that we know of yet, but as we have said for a while now - and Bruce Timm reiterated this at San Diego-, if the box set sells well, there's a chance that maybe we'll do some more episodes or at least another movie," the voice actor said during the convention, "Which would be great, because we feel like we're not done yet. It's still an untapped part of the Batman universe, so we'd all love to jump back into it."

This isn't the first time that Friedle's expressed hope in the success of the box set of the series. The voice actor shared the same sentiment during the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year. Perhaps WB really is considering more episodes if the box set sells well. Let's hope so.
