Avengers: Endgame’s Robert Downey Jr. Was The Only Cast Member To Read The Full Script

Security on Avengers: Endgame was so tight, Joe and Anthony Russo decided to limit the film's cast to only their parts of the script to prevent spoilers from leaking out to the public. As it turns out, the only Avengers star to read the entire script for Endgame was Robert Downey Jr., the original leading man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The cast and crew of Endgame have been busy making the promotional rounds for the second installment in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie. During a recent interview with Rotten Tomatoes to help promote the film, Downey revealed that he was the only actor allowed to read the full script to the Avengers: Infinity War sequel. In the same interview, Joe and Anthony also admit that they gave RDJ the full script, confirming the actor's claims.

It seems like the Russos have a lot of trust in the Iron Man star because they usually filter out the script for the cast of big films like Infinity War and Endgame. Could this mean that fans should be concerned about Iron Man's fate in the film? Could the Russos have trusted RDJ enough knowing that he won't survive the film?

It isn't easy undoing Thanos massacre, and one of the long-time running speculations is that one or two of the Avengers might sacrifice their lives at the end of the film. The most popular names to pop out of that theory is Captain America (Chris Evans) and of course, RDJ. Let's wait and see whether RDJ really does die in Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
