Avengers: Endgame Has Heartbreaking Connection To Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Avengers: Endgame might have long since made its premiere, but fans aren't done scouring for Easter Eggs.

One fan just recently uncovered a new Easter Egg from Endgame, and it looks like it has a heartbreaking connection to Guardians of the Galaxy. In the film, fans get to see the remaining members of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy dress up in various new costumes.

Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) also gets a new suit. Not only does the outfit look like a nod to the classic Guardians of the Galaxy comic book costume, but a fan on Reddit couldn't help but notice the scarf that Rocket has with him. As it turns out, the scarf previously belonged to Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

According to Redditor Wolf Brigadell, it's pretty clear that Rocket decided to pick up a few mementos from the Guardians after losing his family to Thanos' (Josh Brolin) massacre in Avengers: Infinity War. What makes the Easter Egg even more heartbreaking is that the scarf is from Guardians of the Galaxy 2, a film where Rocket and Quill had to sort through major arguments.

Rocket might be cynical, but he's also a pretty sentimental character. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was a cryfest, and now, we can't help but cry at this little Easter Egg in Endgame.

Luckily, the Avengers managed to bring everyone back in Endgame. We can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans the Guardians are going to get into when they return for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
