Avengers: Endgame Fan Theory Suggests A Second Snap From Thanos

Thanos' snappening might have taken the lives of half of the universe's living population in Avengers: Infinity War but a new fan theory suggest that a second snap from the Mad Titan might actually bring everyone back to life in Avengers: Endgame.

Marvel fans have long since speculated the possibility of original Avengers like Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) sacrificing themselves. Now, a complex fan theory on Reddit suggests a second snap from Thanos that undoes the many deaths of the Decimation – at the price of the deaths of all of six original Avengers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Simplifying the speculative post, Marvel fans might be able to see the return of the half of the living population when the Avengers go back in time to undo Thanos' snappening. However, instead of completely preventing the Mad Titan's snap, the team simply changes the outcome of the catastrophe. Instead of killing half the living population of the universe, Thanos kills all of the original Avengers in their place.

It's a very interesting idea. Six lives in place of billions don't sound that bad. After all, what's more, heroic than sacrificing your life so that billions of others can live on?

Still, despite its feasibility, fans on Reddit point out the complications that arise from the theory. Why would Thanos even do a second snap where only the Avengers die? The Mad Titan's goal is to reinvigorate an overpopulated universe. How would the deaths of the Avengers achieve that?

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
