Avengers: Endgame Directors Excited for New Movie With Robert Downey, Jr.

Marvel directors Joe and Anthony Russo might have decided to take a break from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after working on Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame back to back, however, the filmmakers continue to work with Marvel stars in their new films.

Not only did the Russo Brothers reunite with Thor star Chris Hemsworth in Extraction, a Netflix film under the filmmaker's AGBO Films banner, but the directorial duo have also gotten back together with Spider-Man actor Tom Holland for their new crime drama, Cherry.

Now it looks like the Russos are hoping to reconnect with another Marvel star.

According to ComicBook.com, Joe and Anthony Russo are looking forward to working again with Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr.

Speaking in an interview with the entertainment news outlet, Joe Russo says that it is "not long" until their movie with RDJ allows them to work together again with Tony Stark.

The director's aren't too keen on sharing details about the upcoming project just yet – all fans have to know is that Iron Man is going to be part of the film.

The new movie will take some time, of course.

Not only have the Russos been hard at work on Cherry, but they're also developing Relic, a horror movie where Spider-Man: Far From Home star Jake Gyllenhall works as the film's producer.

We'll just have to wait and see what this new movie with Downey Jr. is going to be. Let's keep our eyes peeled.

Phase 4 of the MCU will begin once Black Widow premieres on November 6, 2020.
