Aquaman Director James Wan Leaves Twitter

It looks like the pressure and stress from Aquaman's production has forced director James Wan to take a break from Twitter.

According to ComicBook.com, Wan's Twitter handle"@creepypuppet" can no longer be found on Twitter. The director is currently focusing on his upcoming projects now that Aquaman has completed its theatrical run. Apparently, Wan is in dire need for a break from the taxing work that had to be done on the production and promotional tour of Aquaman.

Wan is expected to return soon with the director in search of a "seaworthy" script together with Warner Brothers.

"I mean, liking the people I work with goes a long way. That was the reason why I came back when I did Insidious 2," Wan said in an older interview with the publication, "But it's a weird one for me, because I actually don't know what I want to do next for the first time in my career. I felt like Aquaman ticked a lot of boxes for me. I want to do another action movie after Furious 7, I wanted to do a world creation film, and I wanted to do a superhero movie, and Aquaman literally ticked all of those boxes for me."

While the social media break might sound alarming to some, Wan definitely deserves some alone time after all the work that he's done on Aquaman.

The 2018 comic book movie not only fully introduced the majestic universe of the seven seas into the DC Extended Universe, but it also torpedoed at the box office, becoming DC's highest-earning entry.

DC's next film, Shazam!, is set for release on April 5, 2019.
