Marvel Studios is already two movies in for 2017, and the next film in the lineup will be Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok. We have some new set photos with Loki, Thor, and Bruce Banner, and Loki in particular seems to be calling back to a scene from the first Avengers movie.

As you can see, Loki has a very troubled look on this face while he sits in the Grandmaster's quarters during Thor and the Hulk's gladiator battle. Back in 2012, everyone basically remembers how things went down between the Jade Giant and the God of Mischief:
For now, it looks like Loki is going to be siding with Thor once more, and Hulk and Valkrie will be in for the ride. For someone who's constantly marketed as a villain in the MCU, Loki actually spends a lot of time helping the heroes. It's only in the first Avengers movie where we see him turn into a full villain.
Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk, his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor's quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters Nov. 3.
