There Are No Plans For Green Arrow in the DC Cinematic Universe, Stephen Amell Says

At Salt Lake City Comic-Con, Arrow's Stephen Amell confirmed that he hasn't heard of any plans for Green Arrow in the DC movieverse, CBR reports. Amell plays Oliver Queen, the titular Green Arrow, in the TV Show. He's also well locked into the role, as he recently announced that he was contracted up until 2019 with Arrow, bringing the show into its seventh season.

Amell previously reacted negatively to Ezra Miller being cast as The Flash for Justice League. He said he felt that it should be Grant Gustin, who plays The Flash in the self-titled CW TV show, in the role. However, he clarified his remark at the Salt Lake City panel.

He said his negative feelings were only because he thought it was "less than appropriate" that Warner Bros announced the casting so soon after The Flash TV show debuted. He doesn't really have anything against Ezra Miller in the role.

On how he would feel if Green Arrow was recast for the movieverse, Stephen Amell said, "I do not have a right to Oliver Queen. Someone played it before me. Someone voiced it before me. Someone will play it after me." He went on to say that if a Green Arrow movie happened, he would "not be upset at all" about someone else getting cast in the role.

The fifth season of Arrow will return to the air October 5 at 8 PM on the CW.

What do you think? Would you like the see a Green Arrow movie? Would you want Amell in the role or would you also be okay with somebody else?
