The Walking Dead’s Season 7 Back Half Has Andrew Lincoln Psyched

The first part of The Walking Dead's season 7 has been anything but joyful. Even the last episode still held hints of grief and gore despite the swelling tension that will ultimately bring out the big guns for our main gang.

However, Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln teased that there was something about the script for the latter half of the season that made him excited for his character.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Lincoln dropped a hint on how we might see our beloved leader getting back on his feet—in more ways than one.

"I promise you, there is one beat in [episode] 16, I dropped my script and started punching the air and did a little jig."

A dancing Rick—just why would Lincoln be that invested (and happily invested at that) when it comes to something presumably related to his character? Who knows? It does paint a different picture than what we've been accustomed to seeing when it comes to Rick.

Perhaps we can finally say goodbye to the sad and sobbing Rick Grimes. We all know that we've seen enough of that, even if it was only for a few focused episodes.

The Walking Dead will be back on AMC on Feb. 13. Hopefully, the first episode won't break our hearts before Valentine's Day hits.
