The Walking Dead Will Stay On for a While on TV

It appears that The Walking Dead is finally movie in the right direction as far as its ratings and viewership go. This follows the rather downer of an opening season for the seventh run.

Now, AMC Networks has posted the Q4 shares and earnings which showed that there is rise even during what may have been the darkest season of the show. Hollywood Reporter was able to forecast creative strength from the team as before.

"The Walking Dead remains the No. 1 show on television among younger viewers by a very wide margin. Beyond advertising, The Walking Dead is illustrative of the benefits of owned franchise content. The Walking Dead is a franchise that will deliver ancillary revenues over different distribution platforms for many years to come as it does today. And we believe it will have a long life that accrues to our strategic position and financial benefit."

So we may not be seeing the end of The Walking Dead anytime soon, since the loyal audience seems to overpower the newer generation. It only needed to focus back on zombies and human drama to hit the right notes.

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights on AMC.
