The Walking Dead Hints at Comics Moment for Carl

Carl's fate has been discussed several times throughout the week. Whether it's the possibility of actor Chandler Riggs leaving for university to the possible fate of his character following developments in real life and in the series—there have been a lot of speculations.

Now, AMC has made its own statement as to what will happen next thanks to a new tease via the official The Walking Dead Instagram. As it is, the showrunners may be setting up quite the development for Carl in The Walking Dead.

Seen above, we can see Carl with his eyepatch removed. And if we take the seventh episode's title, Sing Me A Song into consideration, then we may be in for another comic homage scene.

As a slight spoiler, this scene sees Negan ordering Carl to remove his eyepatch and forcing the latter to sing a song. For those who missed the synopsis for Sing Me A Song, it's fairly short, but cryptic nonetheless:

"A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies."

From the looks of it, we'll be going back to Alexandria once more. And Negan's possible encounter with Carl may be the only thing that's going to make me go back to watching the show again.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
