The Russos Have Started Editing Avengers 4

Now that Ant-Man and The Wasp is showing in theaters, fans are already getting pumped for the next two Marvel movies; Captain Marvel and Avengers 4. Infinity War teased how important Carol Danvers will be to the fourth Avengers film by having Nick Fury contact her in the end, while Ant-Man and The Wasp teased even more possibilities that will be discussed in another time.

With all this hype for the biggest Marvel movie coming out, Kevin Feige has provided a fairly intriguing update to the movie. During an interview with Birth. Movies. Death., Feige confirmed that The Russos are already editing the film, which he said is earlier than most Marvel movies.

"We're just starting the edit. The brothers have worked on their cut, and we've been together in the editing room for a couple weeks now, so it's very early days. But it's much earlier than usual, right?Usuallywe're still filming. Captain Marvel comes out in March, while this one comes out in May and we're already starting. It's fun to get a jump, it's good having already shot the majority of the movie. So we're just getting into our traditional editorial process now."

This doesn't mean that the movie will be completely finished of course; Feige himself says that "most" of the shooting has finished, which means we could get reshoots soon. As usual, this is typical Hollywood practice and shouldn't be taken as a bad thing just because Justice League was horribly handled.

Still, editing the movie 10 months before it comes out is intriguing and shows how far ahead they thought this story out. We can only hope that the film delivers a satisfying conclusion that pleases everyone.

Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
