The Reason Why Batman and Superman Will Fight in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

Exactly one year from yesterday, Zack Snyder's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will launch in theaters, and although we've heard a lot of buzz about the film and the teaser from last year's Comic-Con has been released, we still have no idea why Batman and Superman are going against each other...until now.

Devin from Bad Ass Digest claims he had read the script, so he teased some plot details without giving too much, but leaves enough to keep fans speculating.

Although the following bit of info doesn't reveal much, it includes some possible spoilers.

Here's what he said:

In Batmanv SupermanSuperman is no lackey of the government; if anything many of the world's governments distrust the guy. But it is Superman who goes to Gotham and starts the confrontation... at the behest of Lex Luthor. And unlikeThe Dark Knight Returns, Superman comes out swinging, pulverizing the Batmobile with one punch. Why would Superman do Lex Luthor's bidding? What is Lex hoping to accomplish? That would be spoiling. But know that when the fight is over, Batmanwill be able to point to Superman and say, "He started it!"

Let's face it: As powerful as Superman is, he's not the smartest superhero in the DC universe, so it wouldn't be much of a surprise to see him being tricked by Lex Luthor. We'll probably see how this problem unfold in the first full trailer. So what do you think is Lex Luthor's sinister plan?

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released on March 25, 2016.
