The Premiere Date for Marvel's Inhumans TV Series Revealed

Earlier this month, Marvel made a surprising announcement about their plan to partner with IMAX to develop a television show for the first time, and that show would be none other than The Inhumans.

Although the studio hasn't announced the showrunner, stars, and producers for the project, we know that the 8-episode series promising "cinema-quality visual effects" will air on September 26, 2017, three weeks after the first two episodes are set to premiere on September 4, followed by a two-week screening in IMAX theaters around the world. The episodes will air once a week for eight straight weeks on ABC.

The CEO of IMAX, Richard Gelfond told the New York Times that Inhumans will be developed just like another ABC series, Designated Survivor: ordered to series, but with a pilot being produced for ABC's May lineup. Gelfond also said that IMAX will help finance the series in addition to the first two episodes.

"We think this is a business for us. Because IMAX has an equity participation both in the pilot and in the series, this deal will be financially advantageous to Imax on an ongoing basis."

More details about the show's cast and crew are expected to surface following this announcement.
