The Orville: Seth MacFarlane Confirms Cameos From Star Trek Actors

It's no mystery to Family Guy fans that Seth MacFarlane is a huge fan of Star Trek, and he's currently starring in a live-action parody of the show called The Orville. Since the show is basically a Trek but with more jokes, MacFarlane has confirmed that the show will be having cameos from original stars of Star Trek.

During an AMA session on Reddit, MacFarlane was asked on whether Trek actors would be making an appearance, to which he replies:

The first Trek actor that would probably come to mind would be TNG's Patrick Stewart who is a frequent collaborator with MacFarlane and has voiced characters on Family Guy, American Dad, and even the live-action Ted. Stewart is usually game for what MacFarlane has for him, and I can imagine a lot of people eager to see him on The Orville.

Other Trek actors that could make an appearance would be William Shatner and George Takei. The two have been making guest-appearances here and there, and a cameo from either of them would make a lot of Trek fans happy.

Then again, the two do have Trek to thank for getting them type-casted, but let's just focus on the positives, people.

Catch The Orville now airing on FOX.
