The latest teaser of The New Mutants has been released and it gives us an interesting look at the backstory of Maisie Williams' Wolfsbane. Her character is one of great interest to fans since she is arguably the biggest name in the film's cast, so seeing her get the spotlight isn't that big of a surprise. Still, what's teased about Wolfsbane is definitely intriguing and does let us know more about her.
It seems like Wolfsbane will be religious, which is accurate to her character, and there's a good chance that she won't be enamored with her powers. After all, she is essentially a werewolf, so we can expect an inner battle of some sorts in the film. The teaser is shot well and establishes the creepy atmosphere that the film is going for, which means the editors have done their job well.

Here's hoping we get more teasers with the rest of the cast since. Williams' Wolfsbane might be the standout character but focusing on Magik and Cannonball would be great as well. There's no doubt that this will be one of the more interesting X-Men spinoff films to come from FOX.
The New Mutants will be premiering on April 13, 2018. It will be directed by Josh Boone and will be based on the Demon Bear arc from Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz.
