The Moment That Made Bryan Singer Think About Bringing Back the Original X-Men Cast in Another Movie

One of the most exciting things to look forward to inX-Men: Apocalypse is seeing the young versions of the first class X-Men. However, it also leaves the question of when fans will ever see the original cast back on the big screen. There's no denying that they cannot be replaced. Aside from being the first to portray their characters, the original cast did give their comic book characters justice in the movies.

Jennifer Lawrence pretty much gave 20th Century Fox no choice but to bring her, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Nicholas Hoult back to the X-Men franchise if you read her statement in a recent interview. But what about the other cast that came before them?

Well, just like many of the original cast's fans, director Bryan Singer also admitted that he'd want to direct another movie where the entire cast is starring in, and the moment when he thought of the idea is quite beautiful.

In an interview with fandango, the filmmaker said:

I hope so. The night we had a little screening for the cast, I went and saw Patrick Stewart's wife sing at a local venue with Ian McKellen.
The two of us were sitting there watching Patrick's lovely wife sing — she has a great voice — and I was thinking, yeah, at some point it would be lovely to see them all again.
They're all great actors and great people, and I had great experiences with them. I'd love to see that happen — it's just you have to figure it out. How do you do that? You can't do it for the sake of doing it — you have to do it right. Or else it's just one of those cobbled-together things.

I can imagine how that moment would bring out one's emotions, even bringing about thoughts of seeing and working with old and respected friends in the industry again.

That said, there aren't any concrete plans laid out by Fox nor Singer that could justify their appearance again. There's also the issue of these veteran actors' schedules not aligning.

However, Singer was somehow able to make it work in Days of Future Past. There will always be the possibility of time travel, and flashbacks, but it would be more awesome if we could see them again in action.

Hopefully, Singer can come up with something good, and I think the studios could make it work. There is enough fanbase and ticket sales won't be much of a problem.
