The International Space Station Crew Watched Star Wars: The Last Jedi in Orbit

If you think watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi in an IMAX theater is the most out-of-the-world viewing experience ever, you're wrong. Our experience was definitely different from what the group of astronauts orbiting Earth did. They watched the latest Star Wars film from the safety of the International Space Station.

NASA astronaut Mark T. Vande Hei shared a photo of the unique screening experience on Twitter. It showed the space station crew gathered around a projector screen with drink bags and "bungee cord chairs". Sure, they may not have surround sound or a vast screen like IMAX but who cares? Watching Star Wars in space is an awesome experience that I hope more fans will be able to have.

I'd rather watch Interstellar in space though but if I get the opportunity to watch any Star Wars film in space, why not?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now showing in theaters worldwide.
