The Guardians Of The Galaxy Are Getting A New Member, And Marvel Might Have Spoiled It

Marvel has released a new teaser for All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #12, letting fans know that a well-known character will be joining the group. In the teaser, we see Cable, Deadpool, Doctor Strange and Man-Thing, all of whom would be interesting members. However, Marvel may have spoiled the result when revealing the cover to Guardians of the Galaxy #146.

In the cover of Guardians of the Galaxy #146, we see each member of the team wearing new Nova uniforms, since they will be joining the Nova Corps. Not only do we see mainstays like Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket, Gamora and Groot, but we also see a very recognizable small figure: Ant-Man. Since the Avenger doesn't have his own book right now, it will be interesting to see what he adds to the team.

Ant-Man isn't the first Avenger to join the Guardians. Iron Man joined the team during the first few arcs of Brian Michael Bendis' run. When Tony Stark left the group, he had Secret Agent Venom take his place as a representative for Earth. Captain Marvel was briefly part of the group, and managed to stay close with them, since they lent her their aid during Civil War 2. The team was also home to The Thing from Fantastic Four and Shadow Cat of the X-Men.

How does Ant-Man end up joining Star-Lord and the others? Fans will have to read All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #12 to find out. In November, the series will go back to it's original numbering as part of the Marvel Legacy rebranding.
