The Flash Will Welcome in Gypsy Before Season 3 Ends

Fans of The Flash may go back to the series expecting a new face come the rest of the season. In the latest Fan Feast (via CBM) offering from The CW, Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco/Vibe in the series, revealed the news.

“There’s going to be a new visitor to our world named Gypsy. DC Comics fans will be familiar with Gypsy. She is going to be coming in our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her. So I’m excited to see how that plays out.”

While the teaser doesn’t touch on the specifics of how Gypsy will actually come into The Flash’s universe, the source does speculate that she may be revealed as the New 52 version. Gypsy, also known as Cynthia Reynolds, is known to have the power of illusion casting.

This allows her to be invisible or camouflage herself and a person who is within the right proximity. Her offensive attack may be more mind-boggling, as she can project illusions and nightmares into other people’s minds.

For her New 52 counterpart, Gypsy is no longer a Justice League member, but an alternate dimension runaway who’s actual name is Cynthia Mordeth.

Gypsy has also been known to team up with Vibe and Steel in Justice League Detroit, so it’s also nice to speculate whether this group will make an appearance in The Flash.

The good thing here is that we don’t have to wait for too long, because Gypsy will be introduced before season 3 ends. And that means we have a jampacked latter half of season 3 waiting once The Flash goes back from its winter break come January next year.
