The Flash Promo Shows Coming to Grips with Time-Traveling Consequences

The last that we saw of The Flash was back in Comic-Con, where fans got a first look at the third season. It was a much longer look in fact, which is over two minutes of footage.

Back then, we got to see the gist of where the story was going. Barry Allen saves his mother from the "Man in Yellow" but in doing so, he created a new existence that appears to have overwrote what happened in his lifespan. And it's basically where we first hear the word "Flashpoint' in the series—basically sending fans in a flurry.

For the new The Flash promo trailer, however, don't expect too much reveals. The promo itself isn't even half a minute long. For the most part, we see Barry still struggling with the changes in his life—a consequence of his decision.

Titled "Time Strikes Back," the promo does have its funny moment, particularly when he tries to explain to his (other timeline) friend Cisco (played by Carlos Valdes) the current scenario. But the moment he hears that there was a timeline wherein he wasn't sure, Cisco didn't sound as cooperative anymore.

The third season of the show is pretty much ramping everything for a grand storyline. The Flash in TV is swimmingly awesome, let's hope that its movie counterpart will do just as well.

The Flash will be back for its third season on Oct. 4, Tuesday, on The CW.
