The Defender’s Motion Posters Teases Series’ Various Connections

Marvel's small screen Netflix heroes are finally teaming up together in The Defenders, and with the small-screen superhero team-up series approaching its release date, the studio's been adding a little more steam to the series' marketing campaign.

Hype kicked in for the series with the release of The Defenders' first official trailer last week and Marvel's been busying fans with interviews and new stills. Now, the studio's released a series of motion graphics on the social media accounts of each of the superhero's stand-alone series tying the different characters together.

First, there's Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock advertising the radio show of Rachael Taylor's Trish Walker, the best friend of Krysten Ritter's moody punk rock P.I. in Jessica Jones. Meanwhile, Mike Colter's Luke Cage eggs on The Devil of Hell Kitchen for a few rounds inside the boxing gym Matt frequents in Daredevil. Finn Jones Danny Rand sits outside Jessica Jone's rundown Alias Investigations offices and meditates outside her door. Jessica then visits the Iron Fist's Rand Enterprises. Though the posters don't really tell much about the The Defender's main plot, it does tease the interaction between New York's heroes. Besides, the social media accounts of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist have collected a number of fans over the years and seeing the group interact online definitely adds to the hype.

The Defenders arrives on August 18 on Netflix.
