The 3 Villains That Could Have Been in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 may have gotten mixed reviews, but Sony still had plans of creating a follow-up since it garnered enough in the box office. That said, that movie came to pass, and events in Spider-Man 4 will forever remain unknown.

Well, we now have an idea of the other villains that would have been in the film if it had been released.

In an interview with Cinema Blend, storyboard artist Jeffrey Henderson explained which villains would have appeared and how they came up with the ideas.

He said:

We had kicked around the idea of beginning the film with a montage of C and D- list villains that we knew would never be used as main antagonists.
Mysterio, The Shocker, The Prowler, the old school- onsie- wearing version of The Rhino, etc. We thought it would be a lot of fun.

Henderson also mentioned in an io9 interview that they were also considering Daredevil villain Stilt-Man.

That said, Spider-Man 4 would have still had Vulture as the main villain. However, it would have been interesting to see the superhero facing off with three other minor villains. Those action sequences would have been exciting!

Meanwhile, there are rumors that suggest Vulture as being the main villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming. That means he could be the potential villain that Michael Keaton could play.

Well, even if we'll never know how Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man 4 and its villains could have played out, at least we're getting Spider-Man: Homecoming's new antagonist/s when the movie swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.
