May has finally arrived, and a lot of cool things are coming out this month. One of those cool things is Alien: Covenant, and Adam Savage continues his tour of the set in a new video from Tested.
The video has Savage meeting up with armorist John Bowring who gives him a rundown of all the different props they'll be using for the movie. It's amazing how much rules they have on set for handling the guns, even if they are just props. Apparently, after every take, each actor has to point the gun up and keep their finger off of the trigger.
The video also explores the different types of blood that will be used for the movie, and the production actually shows us a very interesting rig that makes actors look like they're vomiting blood. It's amazing the science that it took to make the prop blood with, trying to get the look and consistency just right.
I absolutely love these videos, and Savage knows exactly what questions prop enthusiasts want answered. Though I'm not the biggest fan, you can sure bet that I'll be in line for Alien: Covenant on opening day.
