Tessa Thompson Thinks Playing Saga’s Alana Would Be “Dreamy”

Tessa Thompson might be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's newest Asgardian badass, Valkyrie, but it seems like the Marvel star's eyeing another comic book character – Saga's army deserter on the run, Alana.

For those who aren't familiar with the comic book series, Saga is an epic space opera series by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples. Heavily influenced by Star Wars, the series focuses on the story of husband and wife Alana and Marko, a pair from warring extraterrestrial races.

A fan on Twitter just recently told Thompson that she'd be perfect for Alana, and upon reading the tweet the Marvel star went ahead and admitted that she was quite "obsessed" with Saga, saying that it would be "dreamy" to play Alana in a theoretical live-action series.

Unfortunately, while comic book readers would certainly love having Thompson play Alana in a live-action adaptation of the series, Vaughn and Staples have both expressed disinterest in turning Saga into a series. Until the two change their mind, we'll all just have to wait it out.

Besides, there's no knowing how much work Marvel Studios is going to give Thompson after Ragnarok – though it's uncertain whether there might be another Thor movie after Marvel finishes phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there still might be room for Valkyrie somewhere.

Thor: Ragnarok is currently in cinemas.
