Tessa Thompson Interested In Mark Millar's Kick-Ass Offer

When Mark Millar revealed that there would be a new Kick-Ass, fans were interested in what the new character would bring to the series. Since the comic series has also had two films, Millar was quick to state that he wanted Tessa Thompson of Thor: Ragnarok fame to portray Patience Lee, the new Kick-Ass. One month later, Thompson finally replied to Millar and it looks like she is interested.

On Twitter, Thompson both celebrated the month of love and shared an interest in the new comic, as well as a potential role. Thompson has wanted to raise interest in diversity, wanting to portray a bisexual Valkyrie in Ragnarok, so her interest in the new Kick-Ass isn't too surprising. She also loved it when a new Valkyrie based on her performance would be in the upcoming Exiles series.

It's hard to say if she'll be a good fit for the character since the new Kick-Ass comic doesn't come out until next week. Still, Thompson's excitement for the role and Millar's push to get her in it might bode well for the series' future. We haven't had a new Kick-Ass film since the second one, so a new one with Thompson in the lead would be interesting.

Kick-Ass #1 (2018) will be available in comic book stores on February 14.
