Though it was confirmed that Danny Rand (Finn Jones) wasn’t going to wear the classic Iron Fist costume in the Netflix series, that doesn’t mean that we won’t be seeing it in some form. Johnny Yang, who plays a previous incarnation of K’un-Lun’s protector, has posted a picture of him sporting the classic Iron Fist garb.

In the series, Danny is shown some old-timey footage of a previous Iron Fist who was helping stop an invasion from Chinese Soldiers. The series only showed some black and white grainy footage, but Yang was able to post a picture of the costume in color. It’s cool how they were able to bring in classic elements from the comics without it looking too campy.

Despite what the critics said before release, I actually found myself enjoying Netflix’s Iron Fist. Sure some of it is campy and corny, but isn’t that a trope of all the other Netflix Marvel shows? Plus, Finn Jones does great work as Danny Rand. His way of fighting is more stylistic and fluid, which makes it more interesting to watch than Dardevil’s rough and gruff style. Then again, that’s just my opinion.

Hopefully Danny gets to wear something more akin to his classic garb in The Defenders when it comes out later this year.

Iron Fist is currently available on Netflix.
