Superman Artist Reveals New Version Of Bizarro

Superman artist and co-writer Patrick Gleason has revealed that a new version of Bizarro would be coming to the main title soon. Instead of being a twisted reflection of Superman, it will be a dark version of his son Jon Kent, who has adopted the moniker of Superboy. Gleason is calling the character Bizarro Boy and it will be interesting to see how the younger Kent reacts to this dark version of himself.

The writer/artist didn't give many details about the character when he showed off the design on Twitter, but Gleason did say that he was writing and drawing a new story arc for early 2018. Gleason has been co-writing Superman with Peter Tomasi for quite some time, though he wasn't part of the character's most recent arc. Still, it will be interesting to see how Superboy meets Bizarro Boy.

Bizarro is one of Superman's more powerful foes, though he's often seen as a misunderstood individual who can be led to do better. Considering how Jon doesn't have many friends, aside from Damien Wayne in Super-Sons, his interactions with the dark version of his character will be interesting.

No release date or window for the Bizarro Boy's debut was given.
