Superhero Heist Film is Being Developed by Legendary

An untitled superhero heist film from the filmmaking duo behind Irish revenge thriller Bad Day for the Cut is currently in the works at Legendary.

Legendary has hired Chris Baugh and Brendan Mullin to write and direct the superhero heist film. They are also set to produce, THR reports.

The film's story is being described as a subversion of the superhero genre in which a team of career criminals stage a heist on the lair of a superhero and must get out with their lives when everything goes wrong.

That sounds like a fun idea for a superhero story. I'm a huge fan of heist films and TV shows like La Casa de Papel so I'm excited to see what the new film has to offer.

Baugh and Mullin's feature debut Bad Day premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, and the film is about a mild-mannered farmer who still lived at home with his mother. After she is killed, he sets out to find the people who murdered her.

Do you think a superhero heist film is a great idea?
