Stranger Things Season 2 Will Spend More Time In The Upside Down

Stranger Things was one of the best things to come out of Netflix in 2016, and this Halloween will see the release of the second season of the show. Fans have been waiting for the next season ever since the teaser came out, and it's been revealed that the show could be delving more into the world of the Upside Down.

In an interview with The Vinyl Factory, show composers Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon talked about where Stranger Things will go for its second season. They said:

"We are working on it. It should be interesting. I think they've already come out and said that things are going to be a bit darker and weirder. We've yet to really see what that looks like...I mean, it's always kind of hard to tell what's going to work until you get in there. Hopefully, it's a bit weirder this time. I'm sure it will be weirder, because I think they are going to spend a little more time in the Upside Down this season."

Stranger Things draws a lot of inspiration from 80s adventure movies as well as the works of horror master Stephen King. The next season looks to delve more into the 80s era, and has teased cameos from cult classic franchises like Ghostbusters. Hopefully Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) will be spending more time with the gang as opposed to disappearing again for the whole season. They'll need will to navigate them through the Upside Down if they ever need to come back.

Stranger Things season 2 premieres on Netflix this coming Halloween season.
