Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown To Play Sherlock Holmes' Sister Enola Holmes

Stranger Things has helped propel Millie Bobby Brown into a household name, and she's been getting roles in Hollywood left and right. Brown us currently set to star in the sequel to Gareth Edwards Godzilla movie, and now she's been cast as the sister of Sherlock Holmes, Enola Holmes.

According to Deadline, Brown has been cast as the lead to Legendary Pictures' adaptation of Nancy Springer's Enola Holmes books. The books spanned about six novels, and falls under the YA genre.

The story follows a 14-year-old Enola Holmes as she searches for the whereabouts of her mother whom many believe to be dead. Besides that, Enola also solves missing person's cases, much like her famous brother. Springer's books also borrow several characters from Arthur Conan Doyle's original novels, and even have Sherlock himself trying to track Enola down.

With the Sherlock Holmes property getting more attention in the recent years, I can imagine a lot of people would be curious as to what The Enola Holmes Mysteries have in store. Besides the material, I think a lot of people would just love to watch Millie Bobby Brown do her thing. She does a fantastic job as Eleven, but I wonder how she fares with characters who talk a lot more.

No release date has been announced for The Enola Holmes Mysteries, but you can catch Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in Netflix's Stranger Things.
