Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Daisy Ridley Still Confused By Leia’s Force Powers

Star Wars fans might have always wanted to see Leia (Carrie Fisher) demonstrate her Force powers in a Star Wars movie, however General Organa's use of the Force in Star Wars: The Last Jedi left some a bit confused, including sequel trilogy star Daisy Ridley.

During a recent question and answer session for The Force Awakens sequel (via Cinema Blend), Ridley openly admitted that she's a bit confused about Leia's connection to the Force and still doesn't have a clear answer to whether the Resistance General's a Jedi or not.

"Because I wasn't so knowledgeable of the Star Wars thing, I still have questions about what it all means. Like when people talk about Jedi and stuff like that I remember having a conversation with one of our executive producers on VII, Michelle, and I said, ‘But surely Leia's a Jedi, because she's Force sensitive and she's challenged.' She's not challenged in the same ways as Luke, but like she's doing stuff for the good and everything like that. I still don't quite have my answer, like is she a Jedi? I dunno."

While some would criticize Ridley for her lack of knowledge, fans have to remember that the British actress is new to the franchise, and acting in a Star Wars film doesn't necessarily mean that an actor or actress knows everything there is to Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
