Star Wars: The Last Jedi is Getting Its Own VR Experience

The next Star Wars sequel trilogy installment isn't only going to be on film – The Last Jedi is getting its own Virtual Reality experience as well.

With VR Hardware gaining ground, Disney and Lucasfilm have decided to partner with Nokia to bring Star Wars VR content to fans through the information tech company's new OZO VR Camera. According to a report by Mashable, the multi-year deal between the two company begins with the Star Wars: The Last Jedi VR.

"Utilizing the Nokia OZO to capture our behind-the-scenes material allows viewers to be transported to fantastical locations and virtually visit the incredible sets where their favorite Star Wars scenes were captured," Brian Miller, Lucasfilm senior vice president of franchise creative and strategy said in a statement.

With Lucasfilm providing content for Nokia, the agreement between the companies has Nokia contracted to provide OZO cameras and software support for Lucasfilm. Right now The Last JediVR doesn't have any release date, but we're pretty sure that fans are going to swamp around to get the Star Wars VR experience as soon as it's out. Who wouldn't want to get BTS material of The Last Jedi on VR?

Featuring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Benicio Del Toro, Kelly Marie Tran, and Laura Dern, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is scheduled to debut in cinemas on December 15, 2017.
