Star Wars: The Last Jedi might have a few weeks to go till it finishes its cinematic run, however, it seems like fans have already begun looking for the film's home release date.

Rumor has it that The Force Awakens sequel's home release might be slated for March this year. Retail sources have told the Digital bits that Star Wars: The Last Jedi's tentative street date for its Blu-Ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD release is on March 27 this year. It's likely that fans will get a copy of the film even sooner with many expecting a March 13 release date for The Last Jedi on Digital HD.

Though these unconfirmed rumors ought to be taken with a grain of salt by fans, the alleged March 27 home release date seems very likely. After all, Disney did release The Force Awakens on Blu-ray and DVD on April 5, 2016. It also released Rogue One using both mediums on April 4, 2017.

Word also has it that The Last Jedi will include "over two hours of bonus footage" for fans to enjoy, including deleted scenes. Like its predecessor, The Last Jedi had quite a number of scenes that didn't make the cut, one of which was Tom Hardy's cameo as a stormtrooper.

We can't wait to see what kind of "really fun stuff" director Rian Johnson has in store for everyone in The Last Jedi's home release special features.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
