Star Wars: The Last Jedi might be months away from its release date this December, but fans are growing restless as they wait for the sequel trilogy installment's first official trailer. Sure Lucasfilm might have already rolled out a teaser and a behind-the-scenes reel, however everyone's been itching to see new footage of The Force Awakens sequel.

Though there's no word on the release of The Last Jedi's full trailer just yet, Lucasfilm's been keeping fans busy with promotional images for the highly anticipated Star Wars installment.

The newest Force Friday II art piece has just been shared by MoviesNews Now on Instagram, and in it we get to see the heroes of the Resistance gathered together. With Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) wearing a solemn face behind everyone, we get to see Rey (Daisy Ridley) leading the way. Next to her is BB8, Chewbacca, Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaacs), Finn (John Boyega), and Star Wars newcomer Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran).

The image doesn't really say much, but over the past few weeks Lucasfilm has been rolling out new promotional material for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, releasing new images as well as interviews with the film's cast. Could this surge be a sign of a coming trailer for The Last Jedi? Let's wait and see.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
