Star Wars The Last Jedi Merch Gives First Look At 'Evil' BB-8

BB-8 was one of the biggest stars to come out of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and The Last Jedi is said to introduce a wne BB unit, but instead, this one works for the bad guys. Thanks to PCO Group, we have a look at some upcoming Star Wars merch for the movie, and it gives us a look at the First Order's BB-9.

Star Wars is just rife with droids, and the original trilogy and prequels gave us a number of R2 units as well as protocol droids. So far, the only BB unit we've seen is the one that belongs to Poe Dameron, but it would certainly be fun to see just how a BB-8 unit is utilized by the First Order. Surely something so cute can't work for a side so evil?

Besides the droid, we also get a good look at one of Snoke's red Praetorian guards, and we're also seeing a new class of Stormtrooper called the Executioner. Despite their appearance in the films, we've never actually seen any of the Emperor's red guards do anything, and it would actually be cool to see them in action for once in a movie. I'm guessing they'll be used as sparring partners for Kylo Ren, but it would also be cool to see them face off against Luke Skywalker.

For now we only have five toppers to look at, but hopefully we get more images as the year trudges along. Some fans will definitely want toppers of heroes like Finn, Rose, and Poe Dameron, not to mention the villains as well like Captain Phasma and Kylo Ren.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to come out Dec. 15.
