Star Wars The Last Jedi: John Boyega Shares Set Photo With Oscar Isaac And Rian Johnson

John Boyega reached worldwide fame when he starred in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as First Order defector Finn, and he'll be back for more adventures in The Last Jedi. Boyega has just shared a new image of himself on set, and I can't help but think we're going to be coming back to the Tantive IV.

Based from the trailer breakdowns, this scene will probably take place sometime before the First Order's attack on a Resistance base. Finn will be spending an amount of time in a bacta-suit as he recovers from his wounds from the first film, but we also know that he'll be up and about one way or another.

With Rey seemingly "embracing her destiny" as a Jedi, Finn's future in Star Wars is an open book, and he has the option to do anything he wants for the Resistance. We know he can't fight with a lightsaber, but we'll probably see him doing some fancy flying as an X-Wing (or A-Wing) pilot.

So far, things are looking good for The Last Jedi, and unlike Episode IX or Han Solo, there doesn't seem to be any director drama going on behind the scenes. Let's all just hope that Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi lives up to the hype when it hits theaters.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out Dec. 15.
