Star Wars: The Last Jedi Has Finished Post-Production

Rian Johnson has done something other directors of the franchise haven't been able to do; he has wrapped up the post-production of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, with plenty of time to spare. The film is still a few months away, so the fact that Johnson and his crew were able to finish editing with a good amount of time is cool to see.

Star Wars movies have been filled with production woes since the dawn of time, especially with the more recent films. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the reportedly wrapped up Han Solo spinoff had a number of production woes that were made public, with both suffering from the departure of their original directors. With all this in mind, seeing Johnson take a group selfie with his post-production crew is nice.

Though not filled with problems, Star Wars: The Force Awakens did not finish as fast as The Last Jedi. With a December 2015 release date, Abrams and his crew finished the movie with a month to spare. In fairness to the director and his crew, the film was a fun watch that looked great and it's easy to see why he was chosen to direct the unnamed Episode IX.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is slated for a December 15 release. Will it match the greatness of The Empire Strikes Back? We will have to wait and see.
