Star Wars: The Force Awakens Merchandise To Land in Stores Sept. 4

Star Wars fans, you might want to start saving some money now; the first merchandise from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to hit stores September 4, Disney announced Sunday.

In an event called "Force Friday," Disney's major retailers and stores worldwide will open at 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 4 to reveal the new products, which include books, toys, comics, collectibles, apps, ebooks, apparel and more. You can also purchase them online DisneyStore.com.

"Every lightsaber, every action figure, every LEGO set tells a story for generations of ‘Star Wars' fans, and this global event is a celebration of those stories. We're excited to be part of the countdown to this enormous movie moment," said Josh Silverman, executive vice president, global licensing at Disney Consumer Products, in a statement.

Fans are encouraged to share their experiences on the day on social media with the hashtags #ForceFriday and #MidnightMadness.

Disney also revealed a new product packaging featuring the film's major villain, Kylo Ren.

That's probably a Kylo Ren action figure or crossguard lightsaber. We'll keep you posted once we get more details about the upcoming products. So are you going to be purchasing some Star Wars: The Force Awakens products?
