Star Wars: The Force Awakens' John Boyega Cried When He Read The Script

Fans who cried when they saw Han Solo and Chewie in the second teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens are not alone.

Way before that, lead actor John Boyega cried when he read the script for The Force Awakens.

"When I read the script I cried, and I'm not really a big crier," Boyega told GQ. "I'm more like a frog-in-the- throat kind of guy, who'll try to hold it in and make sure I don't let it all out."

Boyega, who said that he was sent into a grueling seven month audition process for the part of Finn before launching his career into , has a lot of confidence in his character. "Finn is dope. His story is so epic," Boyega said. "It's a story that's never been seen before, but it also mirrors the stories of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. And he's quirky and charismatic and funny. For me, he was the best character in the script."

We all can't wait to see him as Finn in the movie, when Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out in theaters on December 18. You can watch Boyega wield his lightsaber in this teaser here.
