Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-Ray/DVD UK Release Date Revealed

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-Ray/DVD is coming to the UK on April 18.

News of The Force Awakens Blu-Ray/DVD release date in the UK comes from Jedi News UK on Instagram (h/t Jedi News).

While Disney/Lucasfilm has not made any announcements regarding the official UK release, the image looks pretty legit since the photo was shot in a store promoting Duracell batteries.

As for the The Force Awakens Blu-Ray/DVD release in the U.S., FYE has announced that the disc set will be released in the country in April. While the exact date remains unknown, rollout is expected on the 5^th since the date was stated by Amazon before it was pulled out.

In addition, a poster on the Blu-Ray.com forums has shown FYE employees wearing a lanyard (as shown below) with the date April 5 while persuading people to pre-order the disc for an April release.

A text from the forum post reads as follows:

For what it's worth, I was at FYE today and when I went up to the counter, the first thing the employee asked me was if I "want to put a pre-order down for the new Star Wars which will release in April". His exact words. I asked if he was sure it was coming out in April and he said yes. I know anything can happen between now and then but I'm just reporting what I was told. So definitely take it with a grain of salt.

Hopefully, Disney/Lucasfilm makes an official announcement very soon. Many fans can't wait to grab a hold of their own copies of The Force Awakens Blu-Ray/DVDs.
