Star Wars: Ron Howard Gives Us Look At Emilia Clarke As She Wraps Production On Han Solo

A lot of people were worried that the Han Solo spinoff was going to get delayed after Lucasfilm fired the directors, but things look to be going smoothly with new director Ron Howard. News has it that Emilia Clarke has finished her work on the film, and Howard gives us a look.

With Clarke just being on set, we can guess that the hairstyle she's sporting will be the one used for her character in the film. Not much is known about Clarke's role, but her character's name is supposedly "Kura" and it's possible that she'll be playing a love interest to Han.

It's my personal speculation, but I think that Kura will act as some sort of "proto-Leia" and we'll be seeing her die at some point in the film. It will be her spunk and personality that attracts Han to Leia once he meets her in Star Wars: A New Hope.

Again, that's just my speculation.

With Clarke and Donald Glover already wrapping their roles, it's only a matter of time before Ron Howard announces that he's wrapped the production for Han Solo. Hopefully we get our first look before Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out.

Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is set for a release on May 25, 2018.
