Star Wars: Poe Dameron Comic Reveals BB-8 Has A 'Girlfriend' Named IV

BB-8 is Star Wars' new lovable mascot, but little did we know that the bubbly little droid has a way with hearts of other droids. According to the new Poe Dameron comic, BB-8 apparently has a girlfriend—and R2 unit named IV.

Though it may not be outright stated in the movies, a lot of people have considered R2-D2 and C-3PO a "couple" in the Star Wars universe. It's just interesting that even BB-8 can woo other droids himself. I doubt we'll be seeing IV appear in an actual movie though, but the way these movies go, never say ‘never.'

For now, we're promised to see three new BB units in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Besides BB-8, we'll be seeing some older BB units that work for the Resistance. The First Order will also have their own version of an "evil" BB-8 in the form of BB-9E. I don't know how exactly he fits in the story though, but I have a feeling he'll pop up when Rose and Finn are trying to sneak into the enemy base.

Either way, BB-8 will only be one of the "cute" things that fans are looking forward to. Everyone is already going crazy about the bird-like Porgs. Time will tell who comes out the cutest.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out Dec. 15.
