Star Wars: Now John Boyega is Addressing Toxic Fanboys

There is currently a disturbance in the Star Wars fandom; after Kelly Marie Tran quit Instagram, a lot of fans have banded together to try and weed out the toxic fans lurking in the fanbase. Now Tran's co-star John Boyega has decided to open up about the issue.

While Tran and Daisy Ridley have decided to quit social media to avoid any toxic fans, Boyega is still one of the few Star Wars stars to keep his accounts. Even Alden Ehrenreich (Solo) was said to have avoided social media to get away from all the backlash of his casting.

After years of having to deal with toxic members, the Star Wars fanbase is currently on the lookout for the type of people who have scared Tran away from the internet. Now a huge outpour of love for Tran has come out online, and everyone is trying their best to stay positive about Star Wars for once.

This has been a very interesting development, and I'm curious for what this means for fans down the line. I always try my best to embrace all-things Star Wars (sometimes blindly), and the toxic fanboys always end up becoming a huge pain in the ass whenever they end up whining about something. Hopefully Tran's social media exit has sparked a new way of approaching the fandom from now on.
