Star Wars Marvel Comics Will Pay Tribute to Carrie Fisher

Of the many tributes and remembering for Carrie Fisher, a new one, this time involving the Star Wars franchise, has been set in motion.

The ongoing Star Wars comics, Marvel's Star Wars: Poe Dameron, will pay tribute to the late actress who played the role of Princess and then General Leia Organa.

In a tweet (via CBR), comic series writer Charles Soule announced that he would like to reorganize a scene in a new issue, which will reflect the recent tragedy.

"There's a funeral in Poe Dameron #14, and Leia's present—writing that scene today. Wasn't originally about her, but now it will be."
Soule further clarifies following a fan query that the funeral will see Leia as an "added person attending."

Of course, fans are quick to agree and anticipate the upcoming tribute. It's the not the first tribute to the late Carrie Fisher. The actress has received a special tribute from gamers in Star Wars: The Old Republic game. In a new update for Elite Dangerous, the developer has already teased that the game will pay homage to General Organa once the next update hits.

Even Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin has given his tribute to the late actress.
