Star Wars: Mark Hamill Humorously Greets George Lucas Happy Birthday

Say what you will about the prequel trilogy but George Lucas is still responsible for Star Wars, easily the most loved and defended franchise out there. The man created iconic characters like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Darth Vader, all of whom have a special place in pop culture.

Now that it's his birthday, Mark Hamill decided to greet him in a humorous way that anyone can appreciate. Friends always like to rib each other, so seeing Hamill greet Lucas "for no particular reason" is something anyone can relate to.

Hamill says he can't imagine what his career would have been like without Lucas and he isn't the only one who thinks that. While he did transition well to voice acting with phenomenal performances as Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and Skips from The Regular Show, many will always associate him with Luke Skywalker.

Alden Ehrenreich, the actor who will be portraying a younger version of Han in Solo: A Star Wars Story, also praised Lucas recently. The two had a fairly lengthy discussion about the franchise and Han with Ehrenreich noting the importance of said talk was.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters next week, on May 25.
