Star Wars Fans Shower The Last Jedi’s Kelly Marie Tran With Love And Support

Star Wars: The Last Jedi might have long since finished its run in cinemas, however, fans who didn't quite enjoy the new direction of the film have continuously been airing out their grievances against Lucasfilm's latest Star Wars installment.

Some have continuously been expressing their animosity, targeting The Last Jedi's cast and crew. Star Wars newbie Kelly Marie Tran has been at the end of most of The Last Jedi hater's insults. The Canto Bight sequence in The Force Awakens sequel is one of the most contemptuous scenes in the film with many questioning the necessity of the sequence and the necessity of Tran's character, Rose.

Though we're not entirely sure whether the sexist and racist comments that have been hurled at Tran was the actual cause of her departure from social media, the Star Wars actress has just recently taken down all of her posts on Instagram. Showing sympathy and support, The Last Jedi's cast, crew, and fanbase have come to Tran's aid, voicing out their disgust at those who've been bullying Tran and other Star Wars stars on social media.

Though we all might have differing opinions, it isn't right for anyone to bully people on social media just because they don't like the character or role the person played. The Star Wars fanbase has become excessively toxic as of late, throwing out sexist and racist insults left and right. We're really hoping that these fans start growing up and learn to discuss their opinions without any ad hominems.

Lucasfilm's latest Star Wars release, Solo: A Star Wars Story, is currently screening in cinemas.
