What's wrong with having female leads in the new Star Wars films? Who cares? As long as the story is compelling and having a heroine doesn't just seem like a part of a marketing formula, then why not? Felicity Jones looks great in the trailer. Some fans would always find something negative to whine about. Some even criticized the actress for her looks, calling her "anorexic" and others seemingly upset that she looks so beautiful. There were also some complaints that the film looks a lot like The Hunger Games, which shares a couple of elements with Gareth Edwars' spinoff film: a young female lead and a plot about rebels. It's not like The Hunger Games was the first movie to feature those.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, and Diego Luna. It will hit theaters on Dec. 16, 2016. Watch the trailer here.
