Star Wars Fan Film Awards 2016 Now Open For Submissions


The annual Star Wars Fan Film Awards encourages fans to make their own Star Wars films, and this year's competition just opened on Starwars.com Feb. 18. A panel of judges at Lucasfilm will review the films and select the winning films. The winners will be announced during a special ceremony at Star Wars Celebration 2016, which takes place July 15-17 in London, England. Submissions are open from yesterday unti April 24. Lucasfilm released a video with The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams announcing the contest:

The winning filmmakers will be awarded with a commemorative trophy, as well as a
